I've been crazy about Star Wars since I was 7 years old. I never even got to go see the movie back then, as my parents were sort of anti-sci-fi folks. That didn't seem to phase me at all. I knew the cantina song from the radio, I got info from the previews and interviews on TV, and eventually I wound up with "The Star Wars Storybook". I finally saw the movie for the first time on television several years later. I don't remember whether it was broadcast TV or if it was HBO, but I just knew it was the coolest thing in the entire world!! Years later, after all of the movies were done and over, for a while I thought that I was alone in my continuing obsession with "those old sci-fi movies". I would make my mom rent the trilogy for me every time I went to babysit. I read the oringinal three books, plus "Splinter Of The Mind's Eye", until the pages fell out. I taped them back together and kept reading. Once, I spent an entire summer making up a Star Wars character of my own, and re-wrote the ANH novel on my typewriter to include her in the story. (At that time, I had not really even heard about role playing games...but my first SW RPG character was drawn from that character...I have since used her in my own SW fiction too....) I worked in a bookstore when the first Timothy Zahn Star Wars novel came out...then I realized that maybe a "few" more people were still into Star Wars....and working in the bookstore, I got to meet A LOT of them. I was in Star Wars heaven!!! And now? Well, I am probably "getting too old for this sort of thing" but I have no intention of ever getting out of it. The Force will be with me....always. |
Vehicle: ZX-wingIn spirit, an X wing (I call it a ZX-wing). However, she looks more like an A wing. Those first appeared in RoJ. |
| Date Created: Unfinished. Originally a 1998 Escort ZX-2. |

Vanity plate ("ZX-Wing"). An Artoo unit rides in the back. Jedi medallions (keychains) on the rearview mirror.
I want to get Aurabesh lettering on the top of the windshield (saying what? dunno yet...) I hesitate to paint my car (she's a very striking color of blue currently...) I'm currently trying to come up with a way to get the Road Squadron emblem made into a giant die-cut sticker to put on the car. However, I need to decide it I want it on the hood, or one on each door. If the die cut thing works, I might go on and design weapons emplacements, too. |
